About

The Re Store began conceptually in the early 1980s when a little girl thought it was really cool that her grandmother reused her pimento jars to store sewing pins. Charlotte grew up during the depression and this exercise was part of her lifelong effort to be thrifty, but it struck this little girl as clever and smart and in keeping with earth-consciousness. Thus began her own lifelong effort to see everyday items in a new way, for a new use, in a new form or a restored one.

At The Re Store, we take in all of the loved and unloved pieces in our area that untrained eyes might see as “trash” and would otherwise be treated as such. We give them new life. We hope you’ll join us in keeping our natural resources in place and reducing the need to manufacture new furniture.
